What B2B Salespeople Want From Their CRM

Which factors are most important to B2B sales teams when choosing a CRM? What are salespeople’s biggest complaints with their current CRM solution? Which challenges do they hope AI integrations in their CRM can help with?

To find out, Insightly and Ascend2 surveyed B2B salespeople in February and March 2025 who work for firms with 50-500 employees.

Respondents say the factors that are most influential when choosing a CRM are ease of use/adoption, price, and flexibility (ability to customize).

B2B salespeople say their biggest complaints with their current CRM solution are high costs, a lack of ability to scale, and the inability to support multiple teams.

Respondents say the top challenges they would want AI to help with in their CRM are task and workflow automation, creating reports, and suggesting next best actions based on the sales process.

About the research: The report was based on data from a survey conducted in February and March 2025 among B2B salespeople who work for firms with 50 to 500 employees.
